Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actress best known for her character Missandei in HBO's fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" (HBO from 2011 to 19). Emmanuel is a native of England, born in and brought up in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's resort for sea lovers was always interested in performing. She noticed her mother's interest and her parents began enrolling her in dance, sing and acting lessons when she was only three years old. Emmanuel gained speed as a performer and in the late 90s she was playing a young Nala for The West End stage productions of the acclaimed stage musical "The The Lion King." Emmanuel began her auditions in her teens for roles in film and television. Her breakthrough came in 2007, when she was chosen to play Sasha Valentine, a British soap opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95--). Emmanuel acted in the role for four seasons, leaving the show in. Emmanuel received her second break in the year following, when she was cast in the role of Missandei on the HBO show Game of Thrones. She as Daenerys's interpreter (played by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel would go on to reprise her role in every subsequent season of "Game of Thrones"" right up until the series finale in May of 2019.
